Actually, I would totally give GB Sr. a pass as well. I would actually give anyone a pass on this, whether I "like" them or not, because I've been there before, it is so hard and frustrating trying to fight the drowsiness and it is so so so embarrassing. So I just feel for the person. Wasn't there an incident where Cheney did it behind Bush during a State of the Union or something like that? Even with how much I detest that man, I still gave him a pass. It's human and it's not something to "hold" against somebody. And I'm sure GB Sr. is giving Bill a pass, particularly since they're golf buddies now.

Amen! Like others said, you definitely have to take his age and hectic schedule into consideration.
My dad is around Bill's age and he falls asleep ALL the time in church. My mom is really embarrassed by it and is constantly nudging him...Like I tell my mom, better in church than behind the wheel!

His AGE? My gods, he's only 62 or so. So is his wife - well, 60.
Remember, Bill and truth and goodness have not always been on speaking terms. He's probably not well acquainted with proper behavior in church. Nor anywhere else.

62, but with some serious heart issues too. That can really fatigue you.

Maybe so, but Bill will always be the man in my eyes
