I have my Miniature Schnauzer, Gatsby. He hates everyone but me and my immediate family so I have to put him outside when I have guests over but I think he's the greatest! He has a history of developing bladder stones so he's been operated on 5 times and has to eat $40 a case designer doggy food but I wouldn't trade him for anything. Let my kids pay their own college tuition! (j/k! well, sorta!)
Gus is my exotic terrier mix. Born and reared on the mean streets of Newark, New Jersey, we adopted him from the Humane Society. The sweetest, most even-tempered creature God ever put on this earth. He had a rough start in life and 8 years later is still grateful for any kindness you show him. He's been very healthy except he plays hard and at different times has torn both of his ACL's. The good news is that they've been replaced with, I think, fishing wire or some such thing so we don't have to worry about them tearing again.
I have two hampsters, Julie and Angel. I got them for my daughters but guess who cleans the cages? Still, they're a lot of fun and I especially get a kick out of putting them in their little balls so they can run around the house!
I would also like to mention my departed friend, Powerhitter, a Greyhound. Greyhounds tend to have strange names, by the way! He was a retired racer and a total couch potato! So gentle, I never once heard him bark at anyone. I loved him; what a great pet. He lived until almost 14 ears old, so I know he had a long, full life with people who loved him
