Why I joined: I did some research for a while before I took the step to join, but I liked the idea that Beta Sigma Phi was not only international, but that I would get a chance to interact with sisters of all ages, cultural backgrounds and races, and educational levels. While I think it's fine to have sororities for college educated women, I define sisterhood as a connection to all women, not just a select few. I like knowing that no matter where I go I will have a sister to greet me!
