don't get set on one sorority. since you are going to be a sophomore your choices might be less than that of a freshman.
have you contacted the panhellenic office? there may be some sororities who will be able to hold informal recruitment this semester and you could be having fun with a bunch of new sisters before spring break rolls around. give the panhellenic office a call to see. worst case scenario is that you decide you want to wait and give fall rush a try, but you could use spring informal recruitment to hone those rush skills.
