Thumbs up

Thanks so much for your suggestions and advice. It is very helpful to hear what everyone has to say. As for the namecards....is it something like an index card with just my name? Should they be decorated too? How about something like graduation name cards? Would they be acceptable? Again thanks, I'll take all the help I can get!

when I rushed (I'm old this is the fall of 1970) we used our graduation
name cards ... I didn't think anyone still did those ...

you could ask your Rho Gamma ... or what ever your recruitment guide/advisor/councilor is called ... if that would be acceptable/common.

I forgot all about name cards at graduation until I read these posts. I didn't think anyone still had them either (I graduated from HS in 1985) but I'm kind of happy that they do.

I know someone and she asked my help in decorating her name card, the thing about your name card is you can add a little decoration but don't over do it. Something suttle and cute would be great. "GOOD LUCK WITH UR 1ST RUSH" have fun and relax!

the name cards are 3 x 5 index cards with your name on it-no need to decorate them as most often only the alumnae are using them to check against the panhellenic attendance list. just print your name(the name you registered with for recruitment) so that it is easy to read.

You should probably check with your Pi Chi, Rho Gam (or whatever your recruitment counselor is called) but sometimes it is a good idea to use something "memorable" on your name tag - especially if you have a common name. If your name is Jennifer Smith and you are from New Jersey, you might want to put a reference to New Jersey on your name tag so it is easier for the sorority members to remember you specifically.

My name tag (yes it was 10 yrs ago this february!!!) was a picture of Maggie Simpson imposed over the state I was from. My name is Maggie and I am from a Springfield, so it kinda works that way.
