It should ask if you want Daily, weekly or no email updates. But you only get the once a day and not as things get posted I believe.

I unsubscribed to a forum....now I can't figure out how to subscribe to it again.

(I'm always missing APO threads for some reason, so I tried to follow your steps to fix that)
