I guess I never thought about it, some friends of mine are freakier than others, that's just the way they are... I GUESS the ones that are freakier are open to people from other races, genders, etc.
I know that I'm pretty open to most things, and I have dated black and hispanic guys but Idk if those two things are necessarily correlated.

I suppose that the willingness to cross "taboo's" or social mores allows people to cross other boundaries as well...?

If I were to accept the OP's original premise, then this explanation would actually make some sense to me. But maybe, it could be that the people who are OPEN to crossing so-called racial boundaries are the ones who are just more OPEN about their sexual preferences. That doesn't mean that those who don't cross the racial divide aren't freaky... maybe they're just more discreet.
