Doesn't the tag get wet or dirty if you wear them in, like, normal conditions? I don't understand this concept at all.

soflyDELTA#9, everyone has issues. Issues? Some. "Deep Seeded" issues with this kind of "nameless" hood rat attire? YES......."I DO".

Normally they would get wet or dirty, but the thugs know how to keep them looking brand new in any condition. Believe me, I don't understand the concept either. All I know is it looks stupid.

[quote=PrettyBoy;1556589]I've never seen Finding Nemo, but I would be embarrassed to be caught shopping in a store where this garbage is sold. I just got back from making a quick stop to 7-11 and as I was leaving, I saw a joker wearing something like this. He looked like a damn fool.

Crocs are the devil

Low Rise Jeans- they come in plus-sizes... but I'ma pass. I tried them on once, and it just wasn't a good look with all the hips I was blessed with.

church hats - Some are beautiful, but just not for me. I don't dress to impress and compete at church.

Christmas clothes leading up to Christmas. I still have a Christmas sweatshirt my great-aunt gave me as a Christmas gift when I was 14. It's just a keepsake for the Christmas present I had to wait an entire year to use. (Don't do that to your friends and family.)

I often wondered why so many women of color are more apt to wear a hat to church than white women - until I tried to do my cousin's little daughter's hair. I completely agree with Oprah now, that you haven't had a bad hair day until you've been black!

All women have bad hair days..., but Oprah was on point with that one.

Maybe someone else who wears hats to church would be better suited to answer this, but from what I observe, the hats aren't necessarily a coverup on a bad hair day. It's more of the complementing finishing touch on a beautiful suit, to-die-for shoes, and just being on-point when dressing. It is a great look for some women, but hats aren't my thing. Hell, I have a big head. But I swear hats really more of a competiton to see who has the best and/or most unique hat that coordinates with the outfit.

I used to wear Birkenstock sandles, and I bought a pair but I only wore them once. Birkenstocks are so uncomfortable to me. I have a pair of these and they are so uncomfortable so I don't wear them anymore. Has anyone had the same experience I've had with Birkenstocks?

Slight hijack, but I have to ask...

Why do you keep using the word "thugs" to describe people you don't know, whose actions you are unfamiliar with? I was taught to use that word selectively, and that it describes behavior rather than appearance, but maybe I'm confused

Does anyone remember the sweatshirts from the late 80s- early 90s that had puff paint, sequins, etc. with the ribbon "nests" on the shoulders? I tried looking for an image via Google, but I couldn't find one. I'll keep looking. Add this to things I would never wear (anymore).

Me, too - these are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. And the ugliest. I have no idea what possessed me to buy a pair, but I don't necessarily think they look that bad on other people. (well...depending on what they're wearing with them.)

do they even still make puff paint? I remember going through bottles of that stuff in college- we puff painted our letters onto everything and anything as big/little gifts.

I have a pair just like the ones I posted, except mine are black. It's the way they fit my feet. Go back and look at the toe support thingies,(whatever they're called) that and the side supports hurt so bad. Maybe I need to break them in, who knows, but they hurt so bad I can't even see myself wearing them again.

I thought of you this morning as I had by first sighting of "Tims w/ Tag." The guy wearing them looked more metrosexual than thuggish, though. LOL
