Especially in comparison with what I would have said if I was really TRYING to be rude.

I usually like suggesting to new posters to lurk and get a feel of the place first before posting. It'll save you from wasting your time spouting off to longtime posters who really don't care what you have to say.

Since you said you haven't "been in college" since 2003, I'm going to assume that you actually applied and made it into a college...although maybe I shouldn't because it's obviously not showing in your posts.

There is a newbie thread around here. I think the applicable point here is that "If you think someone is being snarky to you, check their previous posts - you probably aren't special."
