I thought they should've done a double elimination and sent home Janet and Sarah. The season doesn't usually get good until it's just the talented ones left (because they're the ones who the drama usually centers around).
I hate Saleisha's hair! It's more high fashion, but it's really not very pretty to me. I think with her talent and experience, they purposely gave her a hairstyle that was hard to work with, which really isn't very fair. While their reason for leaving Heather's hair the way it was is valid, I can't help but notice that Heather, who has no experience and a "disability," was left her in her comfort zone. I don't think Heather will win, but she still intrigues me. I think she's going to blossom during the season. Ambreal seems to be another Melrose--so concerned with perfection that she misses the mark entirely. I think she'll end up going the same route. Honestly, I think it'll be Lisa, but time might change my mind.

That was a nice little twist at the end. I am so glad Ebony went home!

I was laughing at the ending! Ambreal kept saying "thank you God" and I thought, "she should be saying thank you Ebony".
I haven't decided on a favorite yet. I liked Jenah's look in the beginning, but her ratty extensions make her look awful. I like Chantal's look but everything she says seems SO airheaded. Heather keeps winning "Cover Girl of the Week" - I wonder if it will be another sweep like Cycle 4 with Naima?

I am not a fan of Lisa's at all, that whole exotic dancer act at the beginning turned me off. (It may also be because I thought she was going to be a "Jade"...and because her name is Lisa, just like the crazy Lisa of the past.)
I've also never been a fan of Ebony's and was definitely relieved when she took herself home. She entered the competition so fierce, but definitely lost it when she tried to 'be nice' so that the other girls would like her. Womp womp.
As well as Heather is doing, the social aspect of modeling will not be her strong suit, and I think that may hinder her from being the winner. Other than Heather- Chantal, Bianca (she's growing on me) & sometimes Saleisha are my picks. Jenah takes some great shots, but I can't get past the 'trailer-trash' look she goes for at panel.

Wow... But so accurate!
There is not favorite right now, but I was really digging Heather's picture. She did a great job and looked stunning. I still like Saleisha. Bianca would've been cool, but the "hater" label that they've put on her is stuck in my head.

Heather was GORGEOUS at the shoot with Mary J. Blige. And she was far from shy with Tyson Beckford. Of course she was shy afterwards, but she totally went for it. Consider me impressed.
Bianca's growing on me.
Jenah take gorgeous pics, but her hair is so not cute when she does it herself.
Everyone else can go home. Even Chantal, who I want to like more, but her pics are nothing special to me.

The thing though with Heather, and I'm seeing this purely from a sped and "social" standpoint, what an impact she would make. There aren't many people in entertainment (modeling, acting, etc...) that have disabilities. And when I say disabilities I am talking mental disabilities (Learning disabled, Mildly or moderately mentally retarded, Autism (or in Heather case Asbergers). Yes, there are people with disabilities (cancer, Hodgkins, etc...). I don't know I just think it would be so POWERFUL for Heather to be a spokesperson for people with Austim spectrum disorders to say "yes, you can do this!".
Plus, if they can choose Jaslene, who can't FRICKIN TALK! Seriously, they need to put subtitles for us viewers when we watch the stupid "my life as a cover girl" commercials, because I'm getting every other word from her mouth. Plus, it's retarded how the make her talk so slow. It just makes her sound even more stupid, IMPO.
Surely they can have a model who is absolutely beautiful, takes amazing pictures and I'm sure has a good runway walk, but is "socially akward".

I'm also having a hard time with Jaslene's "My Life as a Cover Girl" spots. I really loved her during the season and didn't have trouble understanding her, but now she's driving me a little crazy. They gave Danielle (Dani?) SO much trouble for her accent, but not to Jaslene.

OK, so Bianca is SUCH a pretty girl but when she starts making fun of Heather I just want to reach through the TV and punch her. If I was a mother of a young girl watching the show, she is DEFINITELY not someone I'd want my daughter looking up to.

I am confused...
Am I the only one who was shocked that they sent Lisa home over Heather? Heather takes great photos, but what good is that going to do if she can't even communicate? You can't be a silent spokesperson. I honestly feel like Heather is going to get sent home...they're just delaying it bc they don't want it to be because of her condition.

I was not surprised they sent Lisa home, but I was a little disappointed. Of course, I wish it had been Bianca. I don't think she's pretty AT ALL...and I can't believe that Cover Girl would want someone as rude and mean to represent their company.
In regards to Heather's performance, I like that Tyra addressed that the show knew about her difficulty speaking (as related to her autism) and invited her to be in the competition so they have to cut her some slack...but I do agree that if you are being fed the lines then the performance should be that much better than the others.
I really would like to see Chantal win. She was one of my picks from before the season started, and I think she's different than all the previous winners. Her pictures are great and her CG commercial was fresh and likeable. I would like to see her and Saleisha in the final two.

I absolutely cannot stand Heather, and I don't think her pics are that great at all. She just looks like a plain girl with long dark hair. If she wins, it's definitely a pity win because of her disability. Which is crap.
I'm getting used to Saleisha's Tootie hair, and I like her personality, but none of them really stand out for me.

Heather is not my pick to win, as I stated above...but I can't believe that you would say that if Heather wins then it has to be a "pity win." The judges love her look and they say she takes the strongest photos almost every week.

Being a sped teacher that comment offends me. What would Jaslene be then? A pity win because she can't talk (which she can't). I honestly at times don't understand what the judges are thinking when they send certain girls home over others. The thing with Heather though, she is a role model to all young women with disabilities.
Think about it, which would you rather prefer a young girl looking up to, Heather to overcame her disability or Bianca who is a rude bitch and is jealous beyond belief. I'd much rather my 3rd graders look up to Heather.

Jaslene would be "Cover Girl needs to make some inroads in the Latina market." She should not have won and her commercials prove it.
I don't think Heather's pictures are special or pretty at all and I don't believe the judges do either. She keeps winning Cover Girl of the week, for whatever reason, so they're keeping her on. I don't to think she's a "role model" - a role model should be someone who does things WELL, not who just DOES them.
Now if Amanda from season 3 won - I wouldn't have thought at all that it was because of her disability (she was legally blind on her way to being totally blind by age 30) - it was because she took fantastic, kickass pictures. I just simply haven't seen that with Heather.
