I am not a grinch, but my family has a tradition....no talk of Christmas until Santa arrives at Macy's during the Macy's day parade. My brother and I would have our lists in our hands so as soon as he showed up, we could turn it over to our parents. It didn't help that they would start teasing that Santa was arriving in the beginning of the broadcast.
