My husband and I used to be big Heroes fans on Mondays, but we don't watch anymore because we think its stupid that the "mini-series" has developed into a multi-season show. So... we enjoy watching this on Monday nights instead. The network is bad, the set is low-budget 1990s sitcomesque, none of the actors (besides the guy from Roseanne) are at all well-known... BUT it is effing hilarious! The writers definitely make the show with this one!

Kaley Cuoco made a decent name for herself in 8 Simple Rules with John Ritter. I didn't watch that show, but until he passed away she continuing to grow in popularity.

Oh, I didn't watch that show (hence why I didn't recognize her), but thanks for the info.

Please continue encouraging others to give this show a try!
I keep hearing talks that the show might be on it's way out, and I seriously hope that is not true.

I like how her character is not a 'dumb blonde'. Sometimes she's a little clueless on something, but she's not stupid. That's a lot sexier than a 'dumb blonde' in my opinion.

The way she acts towards the guys reminds me of "Beauty and the Geek". She doesn't act like she is all above them and, even though Sheldon irritates her, she's never mean or rude to them.

Bumping because I recently learned that Jim Parsons (Sheldon) is a Pike.

This is, I think, a major reason that the show has taken such root among people who have, or have family members with, Asperger's. I can't tell you how often my wife and I laughed and said we can see our son acting or reacting exactly like Sheldon. It can be very cathartic.

Although the writers have said they didn't create Sheldon as having Asperger's (they just think of him as "Sheldony"), Jim Parsons has noted "I can say that he couldn't display more facets of it." But he's not a two-dimensional character, nor is he simply the butt of jokes. As annoying as he can be, the others -- Penny especially, perhaps -- still accept him like he is.
