I wonder about that as well. It bothers me like he needs to say girl to remind him that she is one.

I just watched the ep from Monday over that they replay on Sunday and I am so laughing so hard. I notice that he said "girl Melanie" a lot but it wasn't until your post that I actually started listening for it, and when he said it when he found her in bed with him I was laughing so damn hard.
