My company was a major sponsor and had a few slots, and opened one of them up to the company. We had to write an essay about what inspired us, and mine was chosen. It was an amazing experience! It was freezing, the road was icy, and you are running with a butane-fueled torch in one hand, with a camera truck about 10 feet in front of you. THe poor lady before me wiped out and smashed her torch and the flame went out, but they had one of the master flames ready in case that happened.

This is later that night in Boston. I am the short one next to the newscaster. It was my 15 minutes of fame lol. We met Mitt Romney who was the head of the Olympic Games at the time.
