To make light of how the dogs were treated by Vick and his associates is just tasteless and tacky. If these fraternity men are all about honor, truth and whatnot, then they would have never thought to do the shirt.
Be honest. You're just upset because A&M students have a freakish obsession with a dog that is mildly disturbing.

Maybe I should try to put a stop to A&M's "Saw 'Em Off" stickers with our mascot's horns cut in half. As a Texas student and lover of all things bovine it shocks and appalls me.

Your school tried that already, and failed. But hey, maybe you can get that movement started again.

Sent to me. Do not answer me but the issue!

This was written to the head of the NAACP in Atlanta on the Michael Vick affair.

I love it when a guy can gently yet logically put things into perspective.

Saturday, August 18, 2007 An Open Letter To The

Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP

Dear Dr. R L White, Head of the Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP,

My name is Mike. I am 27, and I am neither a member of your organization nor a resident of Atlanta.

Normally I wouldn't bother you, but then I came across this article, and it compelled me to write.

Since I am white, I am going to tread carefully, so as not to offend your gentle sensibilities.

But, Dr. White, you are a stupid shit.

Speaking for white people everywhere, let me fill you in on something. This case was not a race issue. It was about killing dogs. And if there is one thing people don't stand for, regardless of race, it's killing dogs. You compared it to deer hunting. Again, Dr. White, you are a stupid shit. When was the last time a deer greeted you at the door when you got home from work? Or curled up next to you and gently nuzzled in to take a nap? Dogs are pets, you moron. They aren't meant to be killed for sport. The failure to make this distinction only makes you look stupider. Sorry, I lost my temper there. Here's the thing, Dr. White. The reason people were outraged by this was because he killed dogs. If Ben Roethlisberger or Brett Favre had done it, the reaction would have been the same, I guarantee you. The difference is, had Ben Roethlisberger or Brett Favre done this, you wouldn't see white supporters rallying behind them, proclaiming he was innocent in the face of mountains of damning evidence, supporting him regardless of the outcome. Let me let you in on a secret about white people; when one of our own makes us look bad, we condemn him and disown them. I suggest you adopt a similar policy. If your group's mission is truly to advance "colored" people (your word, not mine) you'd disassociate from the idiots in your race. It can't go wrong, trust me.

Anyway, Dr. White, I don't want this to come off as racist, because it isn't. Michael Vick is a despicable person who happens to be black. The sooner you realize that, the less of a stupid shit you'll look

I am a Silver Spur and help care for BEVO and even I can say with confidence that no such "obsession" exists with BEVO. A&M is a giant cult. Not arguable.

This is scary:

"Reveille is considered a cadet general and the highest ranking member in the Corps of Cadets. To designate her rank, Reveille wears 5 diamonds on her maroon-and-white blanket. Freshmen cadets are required to address her as "Miss Rev, ma'am." Reveille is the only animal on campus, other than service animals, who is permitted to enter any campus building. So as not to inconvenience her, if Reveille decides to sleep on a cadet's bed, that cadet is required to sleep on the floor. By tradition, if she barks in class, that session is canceled. Reveille has her own cell phone, operated by the mascot corporal, and her own student identification card."

........and actually, the first Longhorn to be named BEVO appeared during halftime of the 1916 A&M/Texas game in which we would win 22-7. Ben Dyer, editor of the Texas Exes Magazine, is responsible for the moniker.

February of 1917 is when A&M students branded him "13-0". BEVO then got moved to a ranch 60 miles outside of Austin because of rumors that A&M was planning on stealing him. After WWI the original BEVO was fattened up and eaten because it was costing the University too much money. BBQ from him was served at the 1920 UT Football Banquet and Aggies were invited to attend and eat the side that they branded. We also presented A&M with the part of the hide that had the brand on it.

No we're not. Texas Aggies just have a love and devotion to our school like no other.
