Well, I was wondering maybe because given the fact that there aren't that many asian sororities comparing to those historically white or african american sororities. I mean, even the biggest one, aKDPhi, only has roughly less than 50 chapters. So not every single campus can accommodate the OP's needs I guess.

I have a few friends, they are asians, and yet they joined NPCs. Some of them are even the only asian in their sorority. All it matters is your mindset. If you are afraid that being asian will affect your chances, with that mindset, you may end up being "rejected" because you don't feel comfortable about yourself to open up.

It could also be that this young woman is interested in joining a GLO with a "long history," which most Asian ((inter)national) GLOs do not have, unlike D9 groups.
