Ok dumb question....
If Hiro's destiny was to time travel back and from what we can see....start a 'company' that included his decendents (father included)...isn't he in a sense going in a circle doing the same thing over and over creating split realities?

This is one of the many reasons I think it was a mistake to bring time travel (TT) into the show. Who's to say that Hiro is the only one who can do it? If all the "good" heroes eventually win, there's nothing that says the victory won't just be omitted by the "bad" hero who can TT and fix things the way (s)he wants to.
I realize it's a science fiction show, and TT is just part of it. But because of TT, the story will never feel like it can reach an actual conclusion (unless all the TT-capable heroes are killed off).

"The battle for the future will be fought in he past"
...wasn't this a tagline from Terminator?

Well we've only just seen our first duplication in powers. Also I don't think it's all that easy for Hiro, even Hiro who can stop time easily, to time travel. It tends to happen accidentally under severe stress. But time travel can have different rules... clearly Hiro will fix things because nothing has changed in the present, or this is what always happened in the first place. If he caused his lack of existence, would he disappear or continue on with no parents?
Moving outside of time for (relatively) short instances, or moving short distances without changing time seems par for the course. Making those BIG steps and moving distances and time aren't as easy. (Who's read A Swiftly Tilting Planet by Madeline L'Engle... same idea)

Here you will find a blog by the director of the season 2 opener, 'Four Months Later". If you scroll down to the 7th paragraph, you will see this little bit:
"Nathan, who was so in control and determined as a political candidate last year, has seemingly lost it all and has no goals. He drinks alone in a bar and is haunted by a disfigured version of himself. Who is this vision and what is the symbolism behind his horrible disfigurement?"

Yes! It's been a while since I read that series of hers so I'd forgotten.

I think the consensus is, Niki's strong. Jessica is a real person, her sister, and has the ability to possess someone which she did before she died.

*don't read unless you've watched!!!*
Peter is the ultimate in cool! I can't wait to figure out what happened to him. Didn't the preview for next week make you DIE LAUGHING?
"THE BOX"!!!! What is inside "The Box" it was like watching a poorly made SNL skit.
I love the White Japanese guy, what is he like the original evolutionary? That's so cool that he's the first, but WHY HIM? It'll be nice to see where his beginning leads all of these people, maybe they're descendants of his?
Love that the Haitian came back into play. So glad to see him show up, I love it when old friends pop in and I can't wait to see the other 7 paintings. The memory loss scene was HILARIOUS! Mohinder is soooo hot!
Love Parkman, happy that Mrs. Petrelli got the isht beat out of her! But WHO was doing that? Sad for Nathan.
Maya and her twin brother are really some messed up isht! What the heck is that. Did anybody else feel that the whole "crying Mary" was just a bit too cliche for the Hispanic characters? I mean, that's not even that cool, just really freaky and overly religious.
Claire-that's your TOE! WTF were you thinking...EW!
There's so much more but I can't even get it all out! LOVE Heroes!

I didn't even think about it from the "crying Mary perspective... I saw them more as a ying/yang combo - she seems almost "evil" and able to kill with her tears and apparently he is good and sucks that out of her and can heal people she has killed. they balance each other
