Please don't go there! The Nupes have a Loving Cup song, right? Did they not somehow "steal" the concept from Beta Theta Pi? And didn't white fraternities contribute to the ritualistic foundations of your fraternity?

Getting bent out of shape about this and protesting about white groups imitating our customs and traditions is like a man (or woman) pruning a tree and mistakenly sawing off the limb they are sitting on.

Whether or not a racist frat boy in Mississippi is "your people" is a matter of interpretation. If that racist frat boy met you in a setting where your Jewish identity and Ivy League membership weren't your primary statuses, since they probably aren't everywhere you go because they don't automatically stick out in many instances, there may be little disconnect between you and the Mississippi guy.

The edit helps. I didn't realize your calendar was set in stone like that. I can see that being a good way to help reduce overscheduling or conflicts. And no, it's not your problem. But I fail to see why people make a huge deal when an NPC sorority refuses to cooperate with an NPHC group, but not when an NPHC sorority refuses to do the same with an NPC group. If it's not your problem, then why do we hear people complaining about it all the time?
