Ok...this is really going in the absolute wrong direction...toss this thing in reverse and get back on topic.

What more is there to say about this topic. The people who did this crime are facing the maximum but are not being charged with a hate crime at this time. End of story on that one.
Now if you want to talk about racism, in general, I'm sure OneTimeSBX would love to discuss 2 year old segregation at daycare with you.

I hope you fellas know the Dr. D got her Ph.D. in this topic and probably can out discuss you all night long... Just to let you know what you are up against.
However, I do have a question:
Dr. D,
Isn't "racism" contingent upon those who "purvey" power over another "group" who has little voice or power at the time of the incident?
This WVA woman, I think she was assaulted and raped. Whether she was African American made no difference or rather, the punches were "emboldened",--either way, she was beaten because she was a woman who visited a "trailer park" in the middle of the night for a date with a man--who happened to be caucasian...
The perpetrators of this crime will ultimately be punished--eventually...
The Jena 6--that is a mess waiting to happen. And it depends on how "LA-fied" folks are gonna be... Can we say Molotov Cocktails?
However, as long as I have lived, this always happens during an "economic slump" and "low morale and trust of the Feds". The Feds have forgotten the little people and the people are suffering.
That NJ thing... I cannot comment, because it seems serial killer(s) to me.
And the Maryland Noose... Burn Baby Burn... Sometimes, baptism by fire works. Wrong attitude and 2 wrongs don't make a right--but it sho does make it even... Or 3 wrongs make a left?

ok...and?
Good for her....we don't need to debate or show who is smarter than who on this topic...that doesn't mean a damn thing when you are actually going thru this or see someone going thru this.
Those people who beat that girl (who also come to find out may also be mentally retarded) didn't need, have nor give a damn about a degree to do what they did.

See you could've easily responded differently to AKA Monet without appearing to be bent out of shape.
AKA Monet is talking about the more general topic for which you DID attempt to engage in a piss poor discussion of in the first page or so. You should've been smart enough to have figured that out even without a bunch of degrees.

This fight is one that we, collectively, will not win half cocked and pitching fits against. We have to THINK about our next move. It does not mean we do not prosecute under the full extent of the law...
You can be blinded by anger or you can processively THINK regards of the next course of action... You walking in with rage---well, "To whom the Gods wish to destroy... They must first make them angry"...
Reason must outweigh our hype. And there is a time for all things and an actions.

Yes, ma'am, many see "racism" as a power play and this conceptualization arose a few decades ago. And it can be about situational power dynamics but is more socially significant when we're discussing longstanding and across-context power dynamics.
