I’m also married and I agree with you 100% on everything you said. I think too many people enter into marriage lightly and like you said… loving the other person is a mere fraction of what’s needed to keep it going. It’s not all about “he makes me tingle…” it’s about can he put up with my faults and I his… plus a rack of other stuff!! I too married my best friend and to this day we still are best friends. He makes me laugh constantly, keeps me focus on what really matters, and just reminds me that we’re two different people committed to making what we’ve developed over the years work.
There’s so much about Michael and Juanita’s relationship that we just don’t know. But I do pray that they make the best decision for them and the kids. If that’s not staying together then… it is what it is. We all talk about “til death do us part” but if they didn’t marry for the right reasons… should they stay together just cause?
