I found your post pretty funny, and I'm actually kind of a Michigan fan, having lived in Detroit and visited Ann Arbor -- although not a big fan.
Take some comfort in the fact that Ohio State was down to the Akron "Zips" at one point 3-2. Yes, it sounds like a baseball score. (Growing up in Columbus, I'm also a "sort of" Ohio State fan)
I do have a mean streak, though. When my sister-in-law called from Detroit last week, I answered the phone, "Appallachian State Athletic Department."
