I think you've painted a bit of a rosey picture for yourself, AlphaFrog. Just to set the record straight:

-- you were banned within minutes of registering because it took you just that long to violate our terms of service. You came in loaded for bear, looking to stir up trouble. Our rules clearly spell out that the behavior you displayed was in violation of our TOS.

We enforce our rules because we don't tolerate bullying, nastiness, or any other behavior meant to hurt another person. If you find that "boring" or indicitive of a "low IQ," then by all means, please stay here where you can go mobbing, make snotty remarks to impress your friends, and create cruel parody threads to your heart's content. That's not what we're about.

To refresh your memory, this is the rule you violated in each of your posts--

"While debating and discussing is fine, we will not
tolerate rudeness, insulting posts or personal
attacks... "

That was just one of your handful of inflammatory posts you made. Had you come over and behaved yourself, you would have been welcomed as a member.

Our forum is for people who want to discuss Greek issues in a mature and civil manner. It's also for new people who have questions about recruitment and other Greek issues. You will never see anyone tell a new person to "use the search button" on our forum. We believe each person deserves respect.

I'm sorry that you seem to be so upset about our forum. We have left you alone (yet I see by the sock puppets here) that some of you have chosen not to leave us alone. Hence, my brief return to remind you of what you really did.

ETA: umm yeah, telling someone to use the search function is not being immature, uncivil or disrespectful. its common sense. it's like your kid asking what a word means. you COULD tell them what it means, or you could tell them to LOOK IT UP. it's whatever floats your boat really. but we like our kids here to learn, not to just be given the answer. we play for keeps around here.

Regardless of what has been done to others, I don't think posting something like that on a public forum is very wise.

Anyhow, I have no idea what has gone on between these two sects of Greek Chatters. To be perfectly honest, I am a member of both groups, simply because I thought there would be more Greek conversations, being in both groups. Really, I didn't know the depth or the severity of this situation.

That was the way the ones I know of were here too. One person's behavior in particular showed a complete lack of self-awareness. I mean they obviously enjoy mixing it up or they wouldn't pop over here to stir stuff up.

I didn't mean that as no one has the right to feel that way, it's just writing it on a public forum that can get somewhat sticky, primarily because it's something that can be traced back to whoever wrote it, and he or she could be held accountable... Put it this way, while I can't speak for Rashid, I doubt he cares about being traced or being held accountable. Same goes for me.
