Although I have no idea how many recs I actually had (too embarrassed to ask) I know it was...ummm...slight over-kill.
In my defense, my mom was a really active alum at that time at the local and national level and I was raised around these women. Lots of them are like a second Mom to me. That being said, you only need one (the key being ONE from somebody that actually KNOWS you). I don't think any of us ever actually laid eyes on a rec once we were on the other side. There's just no way to look at that many recs for every girl going through at Ole Miss.
But if a girl does have multiple recs, I figure if the alums are pushing her that hard, she must be pretty good!!
And sending pizza to feed the entire sorority with your daughter's face plastered on the box it is NOT a good idea. Just send the rec, the pizza does no good! (But it was nice of that Mom to feed us all.
