Thanks
Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like red is the color of choice this year -- makes sense for UGA I guess.

Speaking of Red, in those pictures where so many of the girls had on red dresses in the identical shade of red, were those sorority girls dressed alike or pnms who simply selected red for the day? I was wondering if they were AOIIs ... but then was wondering why they were outside in the tents.
Beautiful pics, and I agree, when viewed in large groups, the pnms look remarkably alike---

Thanks DGAdDawg, I wondered if they were AOII, (I saw an "A" in the house behind them) Love, love the red dresses, and there seemed to be too many of them to be pnms. Just beautiful and so memorable for the rushees...

Twenty-five years later and the only house I remember walking into the first time is the AOPi house. They were arranged on the stairs and in the foyer wearing red dresses. It really is stunning (and of course, I went to Nebraska....so doubly impressive where RED RULES!)

I just have to clarify this... The flip flops are only to be worn between parties. They are not considered dressy in this sense. The houses are far apart and there are 18 houses I think. That is a lot of walking in 100 degree weather. These lovely ladies would surely get blisters if they wore their heels all day! These are some long and grueling days for these girls. I believe that one day they had to be ready to go by 6am! Rainbow is a brand name, they are comparable to Reef's if you have heard of those. They are a basic brown leather flip flop, extremely comfortable, and worn by both men and women. Here in the south, flip flops rule the day as far as footwear goes just because it is too hot to wear anything else!

Actually, breakfast was at 6:15 each day and they boarded the buses at 7:15. Parties started at 8. Who planned those times?

our UGA girls were told they did not need to bring their heels and could stay in rainbows all day 1 & 2 - the dress gets progressively dressier as the days go on and they were told to carry their heels.
By making all my calls today I'm getting lots of info now so I am not as "clueless" i guess! LOL!

I do think some of the photos were from the end of a party at the AOII house. (A high number of red dresses, and I'm pretty sure the AOII front yard).
A few earlier photos in the showed girls with strawberry name tags and the Zeta house, and the PNMs all have the same panhellenic tags.
Zeta and AOII are pretty close geographically, so I think some were from the tail end of parties when members would have been showing their girls out.
