This is older, but we did lots of pictures (the New Member class, the New Member/Violet Sister duo, any New Members who were a "group", etc, etc), then the brothers of Phi Delta Theta came over to do "Kiss and Carnation". I understand the nightmare you got into with the weeping members that one year, but the all Greek event just seems like such a good idea. If not bid day, certainly a big event soon after bid day or something.

I just know that at my campus there was a lot of rhetoric during recruitment about "it's great to be Greek, Panhellenic, blah, blah, blah," but when it actually came down to it, I don't think we were ever together until Greek Week, if then. Sure you had socials and events at homecoming, but unless I'm misremembering, very little was all-Greek, ever.

Bid Day is held across the street from our house, so when it's over, we have to walk back. We teach the new members a cheer before we head back and they cheer with us at the top of their lungs as we're walking back. It's pretty fun because there are 3 other sororities that live near us, so we go back and forth with cheers as we're walking.

my FAVORITE part of bid day when i went through recruitment was the walk back from the quad to greek town...it's a good 3-4 blocks, depending on where your sorority's house is...everyone is chanting and singing and crying -- fraternity boys yelling and carrying on, music blaring from houses...the only sad thing is that only seniors are allowed to be on the quad to great the new members and take them back to the houses...so i have to wait until next year to experience it again...
