Here's the bottom line on Tyson.
He WILL fight Lennox within a year. The boxing commission is full of b.s. if they think they are giving boxing some credibility by not letting Tyson fight. Simply put, he draws in too much money and too much attention to not have him in the ring. It doesn't matter who has the belt, Mike Tyson will draw in more crowds and media attention simply because of who he is, with not even a mention that despite his getting older, he is still one hell of a boxer.
Most people are giving Tyson shit because he needs"help" or is "unbalanced", and that's complete b.s. Do any of us really care how "unbalanced" he is? When I put on boxing, I'm watching it for the sweet science and skill these guys bring into the ring, not to see whether or not they need psychological help.
Here's where being overly PC is hurting the sport. Do people honestly think that Tyson being in the ring now is what is messing him up? No, its the idiots he has surrounded himself with, a'la Don King and all the other freeloaders who live off the physical ability of fighters. If you want to see why Mike is so messed up, check out the neighborhood he grew up in, his family, his friends, his childhood. There are your problems. Don't throw all this shit at him for being overly aggressive now, he's a fighter, deal with it.
Not saying biting is cool, and yeah, his judgement is pretty poor, but, whatever, i want to see him fight, and could care less about his trials outside of the ring.
