ASA has a "Mother Patroness" pin, for moms that contribute to the chapters. (There are other occasions for this pin as well)
We also have a Phoenix recognition pin, that can be given to males as well. (Chapter advisors, and I suppose Dads that contribute to the chapter...maybe?)

My Mom had her own Delta Sigma Theta pin, which I now cherish.

I don't think Pi Phi has one...AOII does and if Chi O and Zeta have them, I've never seen them. I do, though, have a massive amount of "mom" T-shirts!

Oh- that could be a fight in your house if you ever decided to wear all of the mother's pins at the same time- which one is higher than the others?

Let's just say that maybe it's a good thing that they don't all have pins!

HA I'm jealous of my mom's ZTA mother's pin - I think the crown is so pretty!

carnation, the Herff Jones site shows a Pi Phi mother's pin. It's an arrowhead with the three lettes.

Gamma Phi has one - it is shaped like the shield of our pledge pin, but has a pink carnation instead of a crescent. My mom wears hers right next to (but a little lower) her Gamma Phi Beta badge!

I gave my mom a Pi Phi mother's pin in the late seventies. My mom had never gone to college and I distinctly remember her being very excited about it when I gave it to her. It was as you described it, and there was a pearl in the shaft of the arrowhead. I have not seen it for many years, but my mom is still alive & I'll bet that she still has it somewhere. Now I have to raid her drawers and jewelry boxes to see where it is. Mothers play such an important part in our lives, and I wanted to honor her. Mother's pins are a great, sentimental tradition that I think very definitely has a part in Greek tradition. After all, most GLO's have "auxiliary" pins - chapter pins, sweetheart pins, scholarship pins, officer pins, & other types of recognition pins. I can also think of legacy pins, 25 & 50 year member pins, etc. It's nice to know that so many GLO's have mother's pins so we can all honor our mothers!
