I also had that spoiled for me. I think I am going to stay away from the internet till I am done with the book...

Link to midnight reading by JK Rowling

You are going to be able to listen to JK Rowling's reading at midnight BST. I don't think I will be gone to the Harry Potter trivia night, so I plan on listening.

EXACTLY. I was coming here to bid you all farewell for the next couple of days! I'm boycotting the internet entirely until the thing is properly done!

Great job! Thanks for reminding me, I just went to check mine, too! I scraped an Acceptable. I'm a little disappointed, but I am eligible for a job at Flourish and Blotts, but I'm leaning more toward Weasley Wizard Wheezes now...

Bye everyone!

Do any of you remember something that I must have read over?
I'm rereading HBP and came across this...p. 282 to the top of p. 284.

Thanks, christiangirl - when I reread HBP, that's another area that *could* indicate the two of them were going to get together, but it says in the middle of 283 (in Harry's thought's) "...what if Ron and Hermione started going out together, then split up?" (italics added by me)

I just think that we (by we I mean many readers) jumped on the "Ron and Hermione" bandwagon without any "proof" (for lack of a better word) that the two of them did become a couple.

Who knows, maybe that'll be cleared up in the beginning of the book tomorrow?

Now, I'm going to try and stay away from GC and these threads, but knowing me, I'll slip up at least a little (especially if it winds up taking me a while to read DH)...

Now, for me....16 hours!

i wanted to reread all the books before DH came out, but presently i'm still in the beginning of GOF i can't decide if i'm going to torture myself and finish the other books first, or read DH and then finish rereading the rest and read it again. it's a tough decision, but i'm going to a huge party at a local bookstore in a little over an hour, so yay!

Hey guys 4 minutes!

Harvard Yard and Cambridge are doing a giant Harry Potter thing tonight (including Harry and the Potters) so I was taking the T into Boston to go to a surprise birthday dinner and got discreet pictures of, I kid you not, a perfect trio of people dressed up as the malfoys. It was scary how good they looked. My pictures suck because I got them from the back but I'll try to upload them somehow and share them. The guy as Lucius Malfoy could easily have been in the movies, he was that good.
Of course my boyfriend just rolled his eyes. I kept pointing out everyone in costume and snickering Funny thing is, my old school uniform has a perfect Ravenclaw tie.

EDIT: It was 4 minutes when I started. Happy HARRY POTTER 7TH BOOK DAY! I'M SO EXCITED!

O.K. I'm confused on one point. Who is the person that J.K. Rowling said would not be able to do magic until later in life? It was supposed to be revealed in this book but I have read it and either I missed that reference somewhere or it was omitted altogether. HELP?

It was in a pre-PoA interview apparently. Everyone's saying it was ... um... the Gaunt woman who's name I'm blanking on.

Merope, or something like that, I think.
