A recruitment thread from a Canadian school? That's one that I'd read.

I've got a friend of the family who will be going through recruitment at the University of Tennessee in a few weeks (which reminds me, I need to get on it and write her rec!)

If only.
Does that mean that about the end of Sept, they're going to start coming out of the woodwork, and we'll have ookabillion "recent retro" threads?

In a way, I don't blame them, after some of the problems incurred by other PNMs in the past.

Absolutely. I can completely understand holding off posting anything until after rush. We've warned PNMs for the past few years, and I think it may finally be setting in.

exsqueeze me -
- my sister MIGHT be rushing at a school on LI, as i am demanding that she at least TRY greek life out. so if all goes well, you may get another retro thread (or perhaps an NPC/NPHC hybrid remix!)

Please don't give any PNMs the idea of a "recent retro" thread!! Let that idea die once the "current day" recruitment threads start! lol

I, for one, actually enjoy seeing stupid pnms putting their foot in their mouths, revealing to the world that they are shady by the information they give out, and just though generally dumbass-type behavior.
At least it gives people a chance to see what pnms are really like...
Go ahead, girls... Throw caution to the wind.

As always, your honesty is refreshing.
To me, it's a question of how well the story is told or how much I already know about the campus, rather than when the story takes place. I'm not interested in reading the statistics of a ping-pong match of a recruitment story, nor do I want to have to keep a score card to remember the chapter code names. But if you are good story teller, I'd read your recruitment story at the University of Alaska from 2007 or from 1927. I don't care.
