I recorded the shows, so I'll watch them later. I was hoping that "we" could see something that wasn't as stereotypical as Charm School or Flava of Love. I guess compared to those shows, it would be boring. I'll see. Maybe it's something pre-teens and teens should see besides calling folks B* and the like.

yeah theyre on some "let's try to do what MTV does but put some "flava" on it" BS and its clearly not working. they can cut their losses with College Hill 4 and KIM.

I actually sat through the whole 2 episodes they showed. I too liked how they are doing both "sides" but I don't see how the girl from the hood ties into the show at all. it's like having a token just to say the show is balanced.

I guess the "hood 1" . .(gosh I felt bad 4 refering to her as that but I just can't remember her name ) she could potentially serve some purpose as it seems that she has that mutual guy friend that connects her to the others from the hills. Plus, she has a mild "friendship" with the other girl and the jelousy thing with the other intense 1. Maybe she gets weaved in later . . . idk . . 1 thing is for sure, it seemed that this show is geared for tweens and teens

I've been sucked into watching it. When I was in my early 20s, I lived in View Park, a nearby community, with great, parental-type landlady and landlord (who were a Delta and Omega, BTW). Also, I have met Soror Vanessa and have a picture with her, so I am curious about her Ashley.

I saw both eps I think last Thursday and I was like why is Vanessa Bell Calloway in this awful acting mess, then I found out Friday that her actualy daughter is playing her actual daughter on gthe show, and all I can say is this show really does suck. Th acting of you can call it that is really, really bad.

I do see what you are saying when comparing it to Flavor of Love minstrel type mess. However, the saw was not that interesting, but if I can force myself to watch 2 epsiodes of House of Payne I can see if I will like this show next week.
BTW the new game show SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

It was really, really bad. Yes Soror Calloway's daughter is on the show, and she does NOT have her mother's looks. That is all I will say about that.

I'm sorry but Moriah and Gerren look like brother and sister and not a little bit either, a lot. Don't you just hate to see couples like that? I know I do...it's creepy.

I have tried to give this show a shot but it really plucks my nerves.
It's a good concept (in terms of featuring lifestyles of the Black upper middle class) but the cast is so wooden.
I understand MTV is still trying to cast in Martha's Vineyard for a Black uppper middle class version of 'The Hills.'
