Spring 2007 Rush

I forgot to say the four sororites at my school

My experience was different in that it wasnt really a Rho Chi, but just some people who sat with us at the table and didnt really do or say anything but bring us to the room in the order that we were supposed to go. I had Honda, Jeep, Mercedes, and Lexus

Honda: This room had a lot of different girls and they seemed really proud of the sorority. It wasnt the largest sorority, but it had a good base and the girls who rushed me were nice. I liked them ,but didnt feel an instant connection.

Jeep:I felt really welcomed by this group, they seemed to really like talking to me, and I had a lot in common with them. ONe girl was involved in many of the activities i was either interested in or participating in. I even found out that weirdly enough that the previous two years, girls who lived in my dorm room had ended up in Jeep. I left feeling good, and that I could fit in with these girls, but also happy i was finally getting to Mercedes.

Mercedes: i remember feeling so welcome as soon as i got there. All of the girls that I had known came over and gave me hugs, and introduced me to those i didnt know. Even the president came over and talked to me and brought me over to look at all the paddles and other things to represent the sorority. I felt so at home here, but i worried about my former friends, i didnt know if i could deal with pledging with them or always having them around.

Lexus: this group made me feel ignored. no one even tried to talk to me for at least 10 minutes and i just didnt feel like i fit in. everyone was so beautiful and tall, and i just felt like it wasnt the right place for me. i couldnt wait to leave the room.

at the end of the day, the group leaders explained that since we had done formal day we technically didnt have to go to anything else until bid signing thursday night. however, they recommended going to the parties that would be held throughout the week.
