I have RARELY heard applause when a character comes on the screen, but it broke out when Optimus appeared and again at the end of the movie.

Bumblebee was killing it with the songs to match Sam's mood: Baby come back, Lets get it on. lol

ETA: wonderful1908: Sistergreek you are SO right. I did think she looked kind of stripperish.

I just came from seeing it and it was AWESOME!!!! I only really remember Optimist Prime because my brother played with them as a kid! I love Shia LaBeouf -- this took his acting to a whole new level in my mind.

We applauded at the end of the movie.
I loooooooved Bumblebee. When he got his extreme makeover: car edition, I cracked up.

Yes, Bumblebee was my fav too!! I loved the radio and how he kicked them out of the car with the quickness. I was at first at his ending but then . Why did Rodney tell me that he had the original METAL transformers? I felt like I was at the movies with a 5 year old.

I was in the movie theatre hot about that myself!

Overall, I loved the movie. I'm still laughing about these big robots trying to hide from the parents in that little backyard. I was all emotional when Bumble Bee requested to stay with the boy...sigh .

This movie has me wanting to watch the old series all over again.

Why your brother gotta be all racial? LOL

2 Transformers (all Decepticons) died before Jazz bit the dust. Now whether those other two were "brothers" I don't know.

I can NOT wait for the sequel!

Sequel News already (from IMDB.com)

  • The Decepticon Frenzy was originally named Soundbyte. The writers had Soundwave in the original script, but decided to change the character to one of his cassettes from the original '84 series due to the size the robot has in the role. They plan to "do Soundwave correctly" in the sequel.
  • The Decepticon Soundwave was originally in the script, but was replaced with Blackout (who had originally been named Vortex, and later Incinerator). He is to appear in the film's sequel.

I wanted to know too! The only black folks who didn't die were Tyrese's character, Anthony Anderson's character and the character's cousin.

Yeah, that was too funny "these parents are annoying." lol Call me corny, I almost cried when Bumblebee lost his legs/rear axle.

There weren't any kids where I went either, however they weren't as amped as I needed them to be. I kind of want to see it with y'all's cousins so we can have an expressive time.

Transformers is a DEFINITE addition to the DVD collection.

I had to go complain on the two rows of teenagers in front of me. The 6 eight year olds sitting behind us were better behaved and actually watched the movie. The teens were up and down and chatting and my getting up apparently scared them semi-straight but they were at it again by the time the employee told them off. (She'd been waiting to do it too, she was quite happy to get to)

Other than THAT, I loved the movie.

I posted this in the other Transformers thread in Entertainment forum. We already know that Transformers sequel is coming, but Thundercats is too.

On June 5, 2007 it was announced that Warner Bros. have optioned the rights to make a CGI animated feature film based on the ThunderCats cartoon. It will be an origin story expanding on the events of the first episode.[1] The script has been written by Paul Sopocy and will be produced by Paula Weinstein (of Blood Diamond fame)[2] and an entry now appears at IMDB[3] .(per Wikipedia)

I didn't even recognize who he was. He played the brother on Disney's "Even Stevens" and in "Holes." He is such a cutie. He's also going to be in the next Indiana Jones movie.

He's also Cody Maverick in Surf's Up that came out this summer as well as Disturbia which was released a few months ago.
