Several projects:

One is a pictorial quilt of a china cabinet that incorporates exchange blocks that I received. Miles (or so it seems) of handcouching black cording is yet to be done before I begin the quilting part

I am working on a group quilt with some of my fellow Kappa alums that will raffled to raise money for our philanthropy, Reading Is Fundamental.

Since my D is now home from school, I am sure my fabric stash will be raided to make more Greek sewn-letter clothing items.

I need to get a small lapsize project going for the LONG twice-weekly swim meets that S has through the end of July.
1. Still handcouching.
2. Started distributing the sections to the new quilt. (thistle plaid design). We make our quilts via the lapquilting technique ala Georgia Bonesteel. So far we have raised $1000 in raffle tix for the Kappa Midnight Garden quilt we just finished (drawing next April).
3. Am auditioning stash-fabric for letter shirts for D and D's hs buddy who is a KD at William & Mary. I have no cricket, shell, grasshopper fabric but I DO have shamrocks and my D said the the KDs at her school and her friend's school are big into shamrocks. Is that a chapter thing? I didn't see any reference to it on the KD HQ website.
4. SHOULD be working on a xstitch of my D's college crest but am not.
5. Just received a commission to do a tshirt quilt for a girl who just graduated hs and is headed off to college. She is a swimmer and a rower so I'm thinking water fabric for the sashing.

In terms of the Christmas stuff already being displayed at craft and fabric stores... They need to provide enough lead time to chronic dawdlers and owners of too many UFOs to actually get a Christmas project done in time for the holidays.

I'm finishing my two knitting projects this summer. One is a purse I've been doing in the round, and it is multistranded. The other is a yoga mat bag as a gift. Once those are finished I'm going to be making some net/mesh bags out of cotton for when we go to the grocery store and farmers market.

I also need to do something about my curtains, they hit the floor, which is fine except I have furniture that sits under one half of the sill. I might cut them, and frankenstein a balloon shade out of the cut pieces, since it is a three part window.

So...what did y'all finish?

I made a good deal of progress on several pictures but didn't finish anything. Oh well, it was too much too hope for!

And--bwahahahahaaa...I had a chance to buy a completed Phi Mu cross-stitched crest and I did! We're so busy right now and I don't feel any guilt at all for not doing it personally!

The needlepoint fell by the wayside, but I've gotten a lot of knitting done. I just treated myself to some really nice yarn for a tank top.

So much yarn, so little time.
