i would really like to see more greek unity in my area.
my sorors and i try to promote other greeks, support them at their events and functions. however, we don't see the same thing in return,(not just with us, but with other organizations)
a lot of time, younger greeks have the mentality that if it is not about my organization then it is not important. we as greeks seem to forget that we are all working towards a common purpose.
we get caught up on petty differences.
also a lot of greeks (sad but true) still promote stereotypes among ourselves. we have to learn how to accept who we are as a Historically Black Greek family and not what people on the outside see us as. No Greek organization has all members who are one way. We have to embrace our differences and respect each other's history.
once we get past this then we are a little closer to greek unity.
