Someone help me understand why they were parading around in the parking lot. At my prom the people not attending showed up at your house to see your dress and make a fuss over you, but not hanging out at the school parking lot. Did any of your proms have street parades?

It's called a Showcase or something of the sort. The day of (or day before) prom, the students attending would come and show off their outfits for the community/school. It may be something only seniors participated in, depending on the school. Kinda' like a red carpet sort of deal.
My high school didn't have that but one of my sands said that her school did.

OK. I think it is strange, but if they like it....
At my school we did a kind of showcase thing at the prom.

Awful
Vanessa Huxtable been working her fingers to the bone, apparently, making these horrible "dresses".
If somebody tells you "Oh girl, I can make you a dress", she (or shim) is not your friend. Go to the department store and buy off the rack.
And Goodness! all of this satin with no lining is so messy. Sizzling hot mess.

To this day I will stop whatever I am doing to watch that episode of the Cosby show whenever it's on Nick at Nite.
That was such a good show. Why can't they make more like that?

At least she's not showing any skin. Where are the parents letting these girls where these outfits exposing their bodies like this? It's really sickening.

Who told these girls to wear such horrendous outfits? Did they all lose a bet?

And I agree with you but the Wizard of Oz sleeves have got-to-go.

You are about to have Judith Jamison looking at me all funny when I start crying from laughter.
I can't believe you pulled out a Wiz reference! And it fits!
