I personally am enjoying not having to pretend I like all his friends. It's quite freeing.

But seriously, I'm glad you're relieved. A year ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years (we were off and on for the last year before that). BEST DECISION EVER. No sadness, no guilt. Actually, most of the time I'm freaking happy that the tumor is out of my life...

everything takes time. it's o.k. to feel whatever you feel - if you need to go sit in the car and scream, let it out. if you need to go cry in the bathroom on your lunch break, let it out. whatever you do, you can FEEL what you want but you dont always have to ACT on those feelings.
for me, it helps to stay busy so i don't have to dwell on things. it's been 6 months since my breakup and i JUST started to see the sunshine. i'm disappointed but i am no longer angry, and every day it hurts a little bit less. It just takes time.
