Yuengling Black and Tan. But they don't distribute in Georgia. Bastards. I always pick up some when I drive to FL. My sorority little is coming to visit me this weekend. She lives in Tampa. She's going to be making a beer run for me.

Yes, that stuff is very good. They don't distribute to CT either (as far as I know), and they didn't distribute to Boston. At my old job I had a co-worker bring me back a couple of cases when she traveled to PA for a client meeting. I felt like I was in the Prohibition days, having a Canadian bring me whiskey over the border.

My friend in Boston is a big Yuengling fan...he got in touch with Yuengling once upon a time to see if they ever planned on distributing up there, and apparently they're looking to do it in the next 2 years or so. I think they recently bought a brewery up there or found one that would make their beer, or something. But allegedly it is on the horizon.

I might be moving back to Boston after law school - it would be great if they started serving it in Boston by the time I got back. They have three years to get their act together...

It was actually pretty good, however I'm not sure if I could have enjoyed more than one pint of it. Their press release says its target consumers are "contemporary adult Males 28- 54" and while I am none of those things, I still liked it.

It's that time of year again, and I actually tried Jack's. It's pretty good for a Busch product. I still prefer Pete's Wicked, though.
Although 3 of them was not a good idea.

Do you still have your list? Could you forward me a copy? We're moving to (back for me) CO and would love to go try them all. Though I still don't think anything will top my beloved and hometown Left Hand.

It appears that my local beer store has already pulled the summer beers and started stocking fall beers. WTF it's still 90 degrees! Anyway, I saw that Magic Hat has a fall seasonal that I'm looking forward to trying...but not for another month or so.

I think we're going to name our next child Milk Stout. And I know the husband would totally be on board with that.

We had Deschutes Brewery Twilight Ale yesterday when we grilled. I thought it was okay, but it reminded me of an IPA, and I am not too fond of those.

I'm not a big Blue Moon person...but I tried the Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale, and it's pretty good. I actually liked it better than the Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale.
Any other recommendations for Pumpkin Ale as I work my way through?

I don't know what kind of distribution you get in NC, but if you get Wild Goose's Pumpkin Patch out of MD, try that. It's pretty spicy, has a nice color, and they say it has pumpkin pulp in it, although I didn't notice anything too "pulpy." It will probably be my go-to pumpkin ale this fall.
I've also tried Magic Hat's Jinx which I thought was somewhat similar to the Wild Goose...a bit richer, not as sweet, had a higher alcohol content. Dominion Ale's Octoberfest (VA) is worth a try if you get it down there, it was much milder in terms of spiciness/pumpkin, etc., but still enjoyable.

Had a bottle of Delirium Tremens this weekend. Really pretty good. Could probably only handle one, maybe two, though.
