My favourite songs are Barbara Manatee and 'O Where Is My Hairbrush.' I sing the latter a lot, because I am constantly losing my hairbrush.

I...know that song too. Completely by heart. I used to know the whole dance but now I can't do it. My excuse is that my mum used to childmind two kids and bought a blues clues tape.
I always said I was going to marry Steve. So much so that I got a gag gift of a handy dandy notebook and crayon for my birthday one year. Oh Steve *swoon*
I do not watch kids shows. Occasionally I watch a disney channel movie but the quality of shows has gone down a lot. Or I grew up. I think it's the former because I still sleep with like 6 stuffed animals.

Remember in the early 80's when they had all those cartoons about video games? Pac-Man, Q*Bert, Frogger, Donkey Kong...I'm sure there were more.

I love "Jakers!" - but my 4 and 5 year old boys aren't as thrilled. BUT they LOVE the "Gummi Bears" dvd I bought them yesterday - and here's the funny part - it's more for my 17 year old daughter, because she was talking the other day about how much she adored that show. She even rode the lame Gummi Bears boat ride at Disneyland when she was two and said she liked it.
She refused to watch new "Blue's Clues" because of that "imposter". But we both sing the mail song when we get the mail. I'm gonna miss her when she goes off to college . . .
I love the Wonder Pets - and is it wrong that the "What's gonna work - TEAMWORK" song makes me think there should be a Wonderpets themed rush skit??? Ling-Ling's lisp is what makes it for me.

i CRIED when mr rogers died! he just made you feel so good about everything. i think every generation should have to watch him, everything else on tv is so violent and loud, he was always so sweet and soft, my mom used to make us watch it to calm us down after school, and it always worked.

I guess I'll have to be "that guy" in this thread since no one else will say it.
Am I the only one who found Mr. Rogers creepy?

I also still love Mr. Rogers! I still watch Reading Rainbow and some of the other mid-afternoon lineup. There's also a show on Discovery that features a chick that I watch. I have no idea what it's called, but one of the characters is a chick, which looks like a yellow circle with stick legs. It's cute. Vegi-Tales looks cute, but I was never allowed to bring those in the house.

Zoey 101 was/is (is it still taping new episodes?) filmed at Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif. Sorry folks, there is no "Pacific Coast Academy."
They actually use Pepperdine's front lawn (Alumni Park) a lot in commercials and shows. I see it come up every once in a while.

I wonder if anyone remembers Sharon, Lois, & Bram's Elephant Show. In the beginning it would open with that elephant song:
"One elephant went out to play
Upon a spider's web one day
And he had such enormous fun
That he called for another elephant to come!"
And then it ended with:
"Skinnamarinkydinkydink. Skinnamarinkydoo. I - Love - You!
Skinnamarinkydinkydink. Skinnamarinkydoo. I - Love - You!
I love you in the morning and in the afternoon.
I love you in the evening, underneath the moon.
Skinnamarinkydinkydink. Skinnamarinkydoo. I - Love - You!
Skinnamarinkydoo, I - Love - You -- Too!. (Boop, boop, ee-doo)"
Come on! Someone remembers that show? My sister and I used to love it and it was a kid's show that even my mom wasn't annoyed by. Sometimes every once in awhile we'll find ourselves just randomly singing the song.
But, back to the topic. I loved Fraggle Rock, Reading Rainbow, Clarissa Explains it All, Salute Your Shorts, and Gummi Bears. Whenever I catch the rare repeats of these shows I call my sister and we'll laugh at how cheesy they are as we stroll down memory lane.
ETA: I remember looking in the grocery store for Gummi Berry juice so I could bounce, lol!!!
