Yeah, how'd that work out for you?

I realized it was a no-win situation; I was an ROTC cadet, and therefore a nerd by default, and I wasn't quitting ROTC for nobody; I loved it too much. As a matter of fact, I moved halfway through my junior year, and was supposed to attend another school--uh, not a chance! I had a little holla with the principal and he helped keep me at my original school for ROTC without having to go through any lottery programs or any other nonsense like that.

When I got promoted to C/2Lt. on May 17, 1990, it was like crossing the sands to a frat, I felt like I had "arrived. But I digress...

FWIW, I made Homecoming King, which set a major precedent (perhaps the only instance) in that I was an ROTC cadet and was never involved in any athletic activities; my thing was strictly ROTC and entertainment (read: choir and drama club).

Hope this helps.

Co-sign; I did indeed have the last laugh.

Look at where I'm at today and where all the "normal" students are at, hence the big payoff on my part.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!*

*or something like that

Wasn't top 10%, but I had a 3.7 GPA. That was almost ten years ago. Dang, time flies.

I was not quite top ten, 31 out of 243, but top 15% ain't bad!!! I was in a gifted program from middle school so academically I was always a grade ahead of others. I was Student Council VP, Spanish Club, State Academic Honors and a bunch of other stuff.

With my class reunion coming up, 2009, I am wondering who will show and who has done what.

Wow... time flies!! 2009 is almost here. I'm wondering the same things about my graduating class. I REALLY hope people show up for reunion. I think it'll be alot of fun.

My best friend and I were discussing having a separate party during the weekend. Something themed like an all white party! Something fun and non traditional.

I was salutatorian.

My dad was mad because the reason I didn't make valedictorian was a C I got in student council (from this old bitter broad). It didn't matter to me because I knew I was smarter than the chick who was valedictorian, and I thought being salutatorian meant that I didn't have to give a speech...

At our Senior Awards ceremony, I was voted Woman of the Year by the teaching staff and got the majority of the scholarships announced, so I was cool with that.
