In Dr. Richardson's account of the early years of Chi Omega, he explained that the magazine The Eleusis was so named because...

a.) it means "publication" in Greek
b.) it is Latin for "book"
c.) it is a city in Greece named in honor of the son of Mercury, the messenger of the gods, hence the name of Chi Omega's messenger
d.) it was Dr. Charles E. Richardson's middle name

Nope, surprisingly not. (The rendering DOES look quite a bit like the HQ, but this drawing wasn't discovered until after the plans for the Memphis building were drawn up in 1992.)

Another quess?

Yep!!! Founders' Hall was never built, due to a lack of funds; however, the Greek Theatre was later constructed on the campus.

It is freaky how similar the drawing is to the front of our HQ in Memphis, isn't it?

Legacies

This is not "trivia" per se, but a policy that should be reviewed around this time of year!

How does Chi Omega define a legacy?

a.) a daughter or sister of a Chi Omega in good standing
b.) a daughter, sister or granddaughter of a Chi Omega in good standing
c.) a daughter, sister, graddaughter or niece of a Chi Omega in good standing
d.) any ole body
