I agree it did taste like a cheeseburger but I also got a hint of pickle mixed in.
I think McD's serves their cheeseburgers with relish, which is basically chopped up pickle, so I think Glitter650 saying McD's cheeseburger was on the right track.
I will have to do some grocery shopping in the states, so I can try them; we don't have that campaign here in Maple-Leaf-Land.
