I am SO going to make my future spawn watch awesome kids shows, not the crap of today but what I grew up on. Carebears, My Little Pony, TMHT (yes, in the UK they were Hero Turtles, not Ninja Turtles. The movies came out as Ninja Turtles but the cartoon didn't. Why, I do not know!), Dangermouse, Muppet Babies, Ren and Stimpy, Sharky and George (did anyone watch that in the US? The theme song is still one of the all-time greats!). Yeah, I watched Ren and Stimpy as a kid and it's still awesome.

Great list, but you forgot Rainbow Brite!
Oh, and it always amuses me that the guy who played Gordo on Lizzie McGuire was like 20 when they finished shooting, and they were supposed to be in 7th grade.

Ok, serious Disney Channel throwback - does anyone remember The Torkelsons? It was this sitcom about this family from a really small down. The show was centered around the oldest daughter (there were 5 kids and they all had double names) and was raised by a single mom. They were always struggling and kinda poor.
Anyway, i remember the show ending when the mom meets some well-off guy with 2 kids who owned a kids clothing company and they move to a big city (i think LA?) I dont think the show stayed on much after that.
There was another show called Flash Forward - i dont recall what the show was about too much, just a guy and girl BFF in middle school. looking back it wasnt anything spectacular, but i loved it!

I remember both of those. And on the Torkelsons, the little girl used to always talk to The Man in the Moon.
Flash Forward didn't have too many episodes...the main characters were Ben Foster & Jewel Satire

I used to be addicted to the Disney Channel as well. I guess I've just grown out of it over the past few years. I agree with y'all that old school Disney and Nickelodeon was the junk! From 1996-2001 the programming on those channels was classic, wholesome, and great. As far as Disney goes, I still watch some of the movies. I watch Life with Derek, Naturally Sadie (Love Canadian tv). I miss Smart Guy, the Proud Family, Lizzie McGuire, and Even Stevens.
Does anyone remember a tv show called My Brother & Me? It was on Nickelodeon, I think,

I blame the Torkelson's for wanting me to get a house w/ Bay windows so I could have a window seat where I can sit and talk to the moon! lol

I miss the old Disney shows...back when it was still good -- Even Stevens, Flash Forward, Bug Juice. Heck, even Kids, Inc. and the Mickey Mouse Club!
I have to admit that I do like some of their for-TV movies: Johnny Tsunami, The Color of Friendship, the Erica Enders Story, that one about the surfer girl who comes to Hawaii to learn about her mom, etc. Those movies were pretty good.
