First my disclaimer. Jocelyn, I am sorry this happened to you and your chapter and very happy that it ended well for y'all. However, I have to admit (guilty pleasure here) that I have enjoyed reading about "Suzie". The story, and your telling of it, was quite riveting. Lets hope that there aren't any additional "updates".

There won't be. Suzie graduated a week or so ago! Hopefully she has moved on with her life and gotten over it.
If anyone's wondering, our advisors made sure to tell the other sorority advisors to give their chapter a "heads up", just in case she showed up to anyone's events. We also alerted KSU police and gave them a description of her car. They started doing random patrols of our road because of it.
Honestly, the Suzie situation was more frustrating than scary at the time. Not until it was over did we really think "Whoa. She could've hurt one of us." It was really frustrating at the time because we were trying to finish up recruitment while wondering where/when Suzie was going to show up, knowing that you couldn't just tell her to "go away" because you didn't want her to tell every single girl who was at COB a bunch of lies about how you're all bitches." Looking back, I don't think any reasonable person would've believed her.

You better hope to God that she doesn't find out about AI.

Ok, so I have been reading these stories, and I can honestly say that I'm a little more nervous about recruitment in the fall (I will be a sophomore). I just hope my chapter doesn't get any extreme cases!

Don't be nervous! Usually, these cases are not all that common. But every now and then, there is bound to be a weirdo going through. Most people don't go that far--if they don't get in, they just go to another house, where they feel more like they belong.

If she acted like that in college, I'm sure if she finds out about AI and she does pursue it that the alumnae members would figure her out too because one, it takes much longer to be considered for membership if one goes about it that way and two, I don't think she would want to wait that long, especially since she threw such a hissy fit about not getting in. If one alumnae chapter doesn't think she would be a good member and she tries to contact another, soon enough her reputation would get out about her to National Headquarters and her chances of being considered for membership are what 0? It's sad that people are that desperate these days.

Well, there is always AI.
Seriously though, this has got to be the funniest thread I've ever read.

Our sorority was finally installed this semester after a two-year period as a colony. We didn't have too many strange PNMs during the process, but a couple stand out.
One girl went through FR and was cut by all 4 sororities on campus. She returned to two Sigma CORs that semester, and another one in the following semester. We just couldn't believe she didn't get the message.
Another girl, a friend of the first, attended one of our CORs and during an icebreaker, announced to the group that she had set herself on fire and gone through some type of torture experiment......
Needless to say, neither ended up with an invitation to join. BUT, when our colony was under intense pressure to get more members, they both found out about it and emailed our recruitment dir. to volunteer to join!

LOL. How did I miss this comment? This might sound morbid, but after this whole thing happened, it was a running joke for me to tell my Big "better check your backseat for Suzie tonight" since she worked until after midnight at the newspaper office and had to drive home afterwards. It was pretty funny.
Suzie worked as a cashier at a campus diner that we all went to for lunch on Wednesdays, so we'd also get good laughs when we'd catch her giving us these "Glenn Close looks of death."

I don't know, people love a train wreck, it would be hilarious to hear more...but how can you top that? Seriously thought, for the sake of your chapter, I hope she is completely done.
