The problem with grade risks is that if that person continues to make low grades, that one low grade can bring down the chapter's GPA, reducing the effect of the 4.0's.
Don't forget, he/she probably won't be the only grade problem in the chapter.
It can be disheartening when most of the members are trying very hard to keep their grades up and there are a few members who couldn't care less.
Some chapters, depending on their local or national policies, are simply not permitted (by their HQ, advisors, etc) to extend bids to girls who don't meet the GPA requirement, regardless of circumstance.

well i come to believe she is going to be going to fsu. very competitive rush, i dont even think most of them even consider having juniors... and a junior with a low gpa. well. i would almost advise not to rush. there are so many other clubs out there that you can bond yourself with. but if you do good luck
umm well you’re wrong. think again! There is a reason I am keeping where I am rushing a secret. I was curious about grades and grades risks which was why I started this thread. Not to have people guessing where I might be going to school at. Most people aren't rude enough to try to guess what school a pnm is going to, unless the pnm says so herself. I am getting defensive because I don't think it is fair for rude people like you to "out" that person when they are keeping it to themselves. Yes I am in Florida and will be rushing somewhere in the state. No, it is not Florida State (too far away from home and too large--which is one of the reasons I left UCF). I am not sure you could pay me enough to go through FSU rush as a freshman let alone a junior. I am not stupid. I have still not decided completely which school I will attend. SO QUIT GUESSING!!!!!!
<disclaimer--sorry for getting aggravated, but it just irritates me>
