I know the fire is serious, but I was so upset.

The official OTW GG recap will be posted tomorrow morning to give people a chance to watch it on their DVR/TiVo if they haven't done so already.

I'm sad...only one more episode left and no more GG. No more GG recaps forever.

I thought that A S-P wrote Rory's graduation episode before she left, but I guess I was wrong because the Series Finale's next week, and that's probably the one she did.

I think I read that she knew how she wanted it to end and had the final line written, but after the whole contract mess went down last year she took it with her and didn't share it with DR, who is listed as the writer for next week. I also read an interview with LG this week where she said should ask A S-P how she was going to end it.

eta: here's part of that interview:

Quote:
Is it bittersweet ending without Amy?
Graham: Yeah. What I hoped — and this is not to take away from David Rosenthal, who I had a really nice year with — was that she would write the finale. But that's not the way she works. She's either there 100 percent [or not at all]. She couldn't just come in and pick up another story that she didn't lay the groundwork for and finish it. I wish she had been more involved this year, because I was playing a piece of her that is so specifically her. I missed her writing.

Have you spoken to her since the announcement was made?
Graham: We e-mailed and we're supposed to have a drink this week.

Are you going to try and get her to divulge the final four words she had planned to end the series with?
Graham: Oh, right — I forgot about that. I think she would've given it up to me had we known this was the end. That was the other weird thing about ending the show like this. When we finished [shooting], there was a 50/50 chance we'd be returning. So when we left the wrap party, we were like, "Bye! See ya next season!" Had we known [this was it], I think she would've given it up and we would've worked it in.

Y does it have to END

I am going to cry. I started watching gilmore girls when I was in middle schol and a teacher who was more like a secound mother to me had died. I was looking for somthing to take my mind off it. Gilmore Girls was what i foun. It is still what I use to take my mind off my everyday problems. I have every season, and it is the only show i watch religously. I am so upset that it's over. I know it sounds pathetic, but whatever!

over on the CW...some fans are creating an alternate universe to the world of Stars Hollow..dreamland so to speak...ala Dallas and Bobby Ewing in the shower and Pam's dream...also Bob Newhart and Susanne Pleshette did the same to fix things...

they are getting momentum from some diehards...but alas, I am surrendering to the fact that if the cast doesn't want to do it anymore, and there is not enough money to make them and the CW wants to get it over with...

My biggest gripe is that after 7 years, couldn't they have really built it up a bit...bigger than one week's notice on screen Tuesday?? NOT as badly as Friends over over over over did it to the point that they ran the finale about a zillion times and was already selling it in Target...but a bit of class and elegance!!

It's kind of hard to do that when you don't know it's going to be the finale until two weeks before.

I thought it was a phenomenal finale - much better than I expected it to be!
