I can't cook for the life of me. I'm lucky if I pop a bag a popcorn without burning it.

I give myself a 6

I can follow recipes just fine, but I'm not good at "embellishing" or creating a dish from scratch. My mother was a sous chef in the 1990s so my lack of innate talent in the kitchen has been a source of shame for my family...

Luckily my fiance can't cook worth a damn, so he's none the wiser
