Well he's just too tall as far as we can tell.

His coloring is a little lighter than a traditional Doby or Rott (His name is Copper, cute no?) but not quite as light as that picture makes it look. The vet thought greyhound particularly because he has the bony head and he was really lean when we got him. The poor pup had been adopted and abandoned multiple times and saved from being destroyed each time by the vet's office because the city requires "dangerous" breeds be destroyed if not claimed.
Anyway, he's gotten to a healthy weight and now we really don't know what he is. Something big My friends call him the antelope


Oh and he's definately not a coonhound. I wish I had a picture of him running when he was a little younger (he's not old, just slowed down a little) you'd see he's a sleek running dog. Runs like a greyhound too.
