Hmmm...I have the luxury of not having any neighbors - but I do remember living in your kind of situation. I agree with val that maybe a little more...understanding on your part should be expressed. Im not saying that your situation isnt irritating as hell -it sounds bad - but, you never know - the people around you might complain just as much. I never realized how much noise I made until I had neighbors - I got to be so sensitive about slamming doors or cabinets - or the volume of my voice - because I noticed all of these things in my neighbors.
I would say if it is just too much to take, move...complain to the landlord...have a rational discussion with your neighbors.
