EXACTLY!!!!! Everybody had some snide comment to say when I was at my heaviest. But now, I must have HIV (or some other random arse sickness), be smokin' crack, or have an eating disorder. It's crazy. Right now, I'd be happy with 153. That gives me leeway (sp?) to gain 10lbs and still be at a healthy BMI, albeit barely. I understand that most people do this for aesthetic purposes, but if I'm doing it for my health, I need to keep losing. WHY would you encourage someone to NOT try and be as healthy as they can be? It's like people would rather you LOOK good than FEEL good. Whatever, I'm on the train WITH you!!!

I Did It, Y'all!
Today I needed only 0.4 to break 180, and I lost 1.4! Yay!
With today's loss I have also finally fallen out of the ranks of the obese -- I am now clinically overweight with a BMI of 29.6! I think I am more excited about this than I was about breaking 200 in December!
Yesterday I bought my first pair of size 12 jeans in over 20 years. (Yes, they're stretch, but so what? It's quite a massage to the ego.)
Everyone have a great day!

Okay, here I go again! I joined ww for the second time today! I have faith that I will stick to the program this time and hopefully I will have some good news by the time of my next weigh in (next monday). Congrats to everyone for their success so far. Much kudos to BabyBlue for leaving the obesity club. I'm determined I'm on my way out too girl!

I'm going to my TNT meeting on May 5th.
I've been walking longer and faster on my own since I made the decision. Now, I have shin plins or what ever you call them. I need to give a rest for a few days.
I'm also down 1 pound this past week. 13 total. 25 more to go.

Shin Splints
I ran track for YEARS growing up and the secret to shin splints is.....
walk at least half the distance backwards that you walk forwards.
Now I know you're saying, "who the heck has time to do that?" And I agree, but I found even walking one lap backwards (1/4 mile) after workout would help prevent them.

Interesting...I have to run in the morning and I have really bad shin splints, so I'll give that a try. Thanks!

thanks Soror. I'll try walking backward also. If you hear a holla tomorrow morning, that's me rolling my behind of the treadmill. But I'll give it a try.

BabyBlue91, you're my new inspiration and so are you Ideal08. I've been reading over this thread and how you two have lost the weight and all I gotta say is shake the haters off and keep going. I've been really paying attention to yours, Ideal08 because we have similar body types.

It still takes some getting used to being called an inspiration. I have so many inspirations of my own (and ONE of them owes me PICTURES). So THANK YOU!!! Check your PM momentarily.
All the binge weight is gone, y'all. I'm at 181.5 as of this morning. I know some people are like, dang, this chick weighs herself every day? Only when I'm not on program to make sure I don't end up over 200lbs. Y'all see how that almost happened two weeks ago. Otherwise, I try to stick to once a week. During maintainance, weigh every day, when on program, once a week. That's what Gary the Curves man said, lol.
I walked to work today, y'all!!! When I got to work, I had over 4600 steps. Now, I have 11,832. I only aim for 12K each day and no less than 10K. Walking to and from work is gon' clock 9200 steps. After I walk home, I could be done! I do kinda wanna try and do some weight training today. Or something. I'm tryna start back with baby steps, but I feel like I need to get it in gear.
The weight is going to melt off. I honestly hope it doesn't happen fast. I need to tone. But I'm excited to be back on track. I've been updating my blogs, eating better (though I left my lunch at home), and all around more focused. I'm making walkin' dates and stuff, lol. I feel like I'm ready to do this again. I've been chillin' for, what, almost 6 months? It's been a year since I started this last WW journey. I've lost exactly 30lbs since then, 65 total. And I have 25-30lbs left. I really don't want it to take another year to lose that.
WHY am I so lazy? WHY is it SO easy for me to do aerobic exercise and not strength training. I mean, I like Pilates, but I feel I need more to insure (ensure?) that there is no flab left over. I've had to enlist the help of former college football players to help me train. Seriously, I hate it cuz it's hard. Walking is so easy. Running is gon' whoop my @$$. But I DETEST resistance training. It hurts (later) and it's boring.
Now, I read an article that says caffeine helps with muscle soreness after a work-out. But y'all know I'm tryna give up caffeine (I don't like the withdrawal symptoms), right? Still, does anyone know (as in from personal experience KNOW) if this is true?
