I graduated from college in '05 in the midwest and moved back home (where I don't know any Kappas!). I tried to get involved in my local alumnae association but the group really isn't made for young working women- almost all of their meetings and activities are during weekdays. All the working women who would normally be in this association join a different group (too far for me to go) because the other association is more fit to their needs. I'd like to get more involved because I really miss being with Kappas, so one option is to start what we call a "Night Owls" group, which is basically a group of working women who get together on nights & weekends.
Has anyone here started a this type of group, or participated in one? Any advice/suggestions? What kinds of things do you do?
I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on this!

bleangle had a good idea. Try to form another Alumnae group and see it your National has a list of the locals in your area. If you want to coantact her, PM me.
Maybe if there is enough ladies locally there can be two groups but work together as in meeting maybe every quarter so you can keep in touch and work out different things together.
Let us know if you are sucessful.
